We are back!

Just in time before the end of the summer, we are back to welcome guests to Bowen Island. Blackberries are ripe, the ocean still beckons to go for a swim. It’s sunny and warm and days are still long. Come and walk the trails in Crippen Park or hike up Mount Gardner or just soak up the late summer sun at the beach.

Seven Hills B&B Closed April to September 2012
We will be closed from April 23 to September 3, 2012.
It’s been 15 years since our last trip to Europe. This year, we are heading over there once again to visit family and friends, celebrating Horst’s big birthday and 40 years of our life in Canada.
We’ll be traveling long distances with a Eurail Pass and shorter ones on foot, counteracting the inevitable effects of the good...

Berry Season
Salmon berries along the road are a welcome treat, but serious berry picking is best in swampy places. I just visited my favourite berry patch this evening. Horsetails and tall grasses came up to my chest while I tried to reach the biggest and best berries, probably stepping on a few slugs in the process. Darling Downs Mushrooms
In recreating guest messages from written records, I found the business card of Greg and Carol Holden of Queensland, Australia. They were side-tracked to Bowen Island on their way to Whistler after attending a “Mushroom Growers’ Convention” in Vancouver. We quite enjoyed their visit, talking about their country and about Canada.
