Celebrating the "almost start of summer"

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly versionToday might as well have been the start of summer. When I went to the beach after 5 pm today, I expected nothing, just a quick dip and then back to painting skylight wells. It’s just as well that I did not go earlier, because I would have wanted to stay for hours. The water was great! I did find a reminder of our visit to the Atlantic provinces three years ago: a jelly fish, not the red, stinging kind – this one was white (and I assume not stinging?) and smaller than my hand. A couple with a young boy had returned from their trip in a small boat. Someone returned in a dinghi from the big sailing ship “Black Eyes”. This big ship has been anchored in Deep Bay for ten years. I wonder whether it will be going on a journey.

I am looking forward to many more leisurely times at Pebbly Beach during this season. We don’t have a swimming pool, but we sure have great beaches.
