Easter Weekend
Here are some of my Easter weekend photos, all taken on Carol and Peter’s Ravenhill Farm. The white sheep was my favourite lamb when I visited two years ago, because I think it smiles. Only some sheep get a real name (considering that they must part with most of them sooner or later) and I am really glad that “my” sheep is called “Anne’s Sheep”.

It must have been the warmest weekend this year. Could it not last longer? I know not everyone had the four day weekend, and I am thankful. Some people even have to start a new job on Easter Monday. I did my first swim in the ocean (with wetsuit – could have probably done it without), sunbathed on the rocks (the April sun is the best – you don’t get burned, it just warms you right through), got some of the jobs on my list done, and some jobs underway.
I spent a lot of time outside, working in the garden, feeding the fish in the pond and getting them tamed after not seeing them (and them not seeing us) all winter. There are still 9 fish (there were 13 a year ago and 11 in the fall). Two had died last year and maybe the latest two died during their winter hibernation. As far as I can see, the cats have not managed to catch any, despite their obvious interest and using the pond as a huge drinking bowl. Today, I saw the first hummingbird at the feeder and a few deer have been visiting, looking for new shoots. They especially like the daylilies.
