Expanded Bus Service

Guests are boarding the bus outside our house to catch the ferry for an outing to Vancouver. Bowen Island has a local year-round public bus service that is part of Greater Vancouver's TransLink. Buses travel along the major roads on Bowen Island, on an hourly schedule coinciding with ferry arrivals, between 5:30 and 9:30 in the morning and between 4:00 and 7:00 in the afternoon. Mid-day and weekend bus service is provided to alternate areas every other hour. A great way to see parts of Bowen Island. There are no designated bus stops, passengers are picked up and dropped off along the main routes. We, at Seven Hills, are lucky to have a bus route along our road, so we can board the bus right outside our driveway.

Buses meet incoming ferries and go to two destinations: Snug Cove to Eaglecliff (Bus C-11) and Snug Cove to Bluewater (Bus C-10) with flag stops along the route. During weekday mornings and evenings, buses for both routes, C-10 and C-11, depart every hour after the ferry arrives. Between 10:30 and 2:30, bus service alternates with each ferry arrival between the two routes, which means you can only catch a bus to our place every two hours (off the ferries leaving during even hours from Horseshoe Bay, i.e. 10, 12, 2:30, during mid-day).
