Moonlight Walk

Printer-friendly versionA plan for paddling in the moonlight tonight turned into a walk down to Pebbly Beach. It was after 10 and, despite the moonshine, it was too dark for launching the kayak and getting my gear together. Still, I enjoyed the stillness of the night, sitting on a log at the beach and looking over the glistening water. On my walk I encountered a buck that stood frozen just a couple of feet away, a pair of mating slugs (which I had never seen before) and a cat looking for company. - Should do this more often, trying to see the world in a different light.
