Ravens outsmarting us at Easter Egg Hunt

We had some uninvited guests at our Easter egg hunt today. The busy Easter bunny had to hide things some time before the kids arrived. I got suspicious when some huge ravens flew by, carrying something colourful in their beak. I rushed outside to protect the treasures and found that eight of nine of the coloured, hard-boiled eggs were gone - all that was left was the plastic wrap that had protected them from the wet grass. The ravens even ripped open a ziploc bag and took a little chocolate bunny out. Luckily a couple of toys were left - the ravens obviously knew there was no food value - and two big chocolate bunnies, which may have been taken next. In twenty-seven years that has never happened. Did it take that long for them to catch on to what we were doing and finally figure out what happens each year at Easter or did some new guys move into the territory who are old hands at this Easter thing?
