Storm, Sunshine and Chocolate Art

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly versionWe have been very lucky at our house with the recent storms that hit the BC coast. All we had to endure were two days of lost power. The wood stove provided heat and a way to cook our meals and heat the water. Others in the region were left without power for several days, with hydro poles snapped in half and trees crashing on roofs. Today another storm was forecast and we prepared to stay home and wait out the storm. To our surprise the wind died, the dark clouds lifted, revealing blue sky and the sun. We went out to experience the light after all these dark and rainy days, taking in the last day of the show Meltdown Artwork in Chocolate at the Gallery at Artisan Square. The pieces did not melt in the three weeks they were on display. Would they still be edible? Congratulations to Joanne and Carlos of Cocoa West and the artists who produced the pieces. - If you have missed seeing the show, you can visit Cocoa West and at least get a culinary delight.
