Sunflowers and Peas

Those are the things growing well right now. Sunflowers, because I probably put 50 seeds into the ground, letting the slugs have their share and still be left with a good number of sunflowers, growing tall with flower heads looking promising. The peas are planted in a circle, climbing up on a round metal trellis given to me by Friedel. They have lots of pods, soon ready to be eaten. Sunflowers and peas grew from seeds sent here by Christa from Germany. I also planted a lot of the zucchini seeds from Christa. We might end up with a big crop – if the squirrels don’t eat them! The netting is bought, I just have to put it over the plants to keep out unwanted critters.
