The Albion Ferry

At last, today we rode the Albion Ferry, after being curious for years about what it looks like there, especially hearing daily traffic reports of "there is a 4 sailing wait for the Albion Ferry". Spring break and the first day of spring called for an outing, getting off the rock and away from chores. The destination was Fort Langley and the Albion Ferry - a stretch for getting there and back on one day using public transportation: Left at 9:30 am (the Bowen Ferry was half hour late), arrived at Fort Langley at 1:30 pm; toured the historic site and walked across the bridge to McMillan Island in the Fraser River, return trip on the Albion Ferry and boarded the bus to return home at 5:07 - and after three bus trips, sky train trip and Horseshoe Bay / Bowen ferry arrived at home at 8:00 pm. The return trip was seamless with only minutes to spare between transfers.

It was an interesting trip, but I am glad to be back home again, ready to tackle more of my chores.
