The Cat Came Back

The cat came back, not “the very next day”, but after a week. After searching and calling and alerting the neighbours (thanks Susan and Tracey, for keeping your eyes out for her), I had resigned myself that something horrible happened to Karma and that she was lying somewhere injured or an owl had carried her away, taking her to her final hunting ground. It was a surprise to hear her creaky voice this morning, making me jump out of bed, almost scaring her away. She is thin, but her coat looks healthy. Welcome back, Karma!
