Wedding Celebrations

Printer-friendly versionBoris and Kate’s wedding turned out to be a wonderful event. We enjoyed the company of their many friends and Kate’s family (the Wyman clan is especially boisterous!). The Mann family was represented in much smaller numbers. Lilo and Jeannine might as well be counted as family – they came all the way from Austria and Lilo was instrumental in the preparations for the picnic and throughout the wedding until the last cleanup on Tuesday, just hours before their departure. The last we heard from them was a call from the airport, an hour after their scheduled departure, with stories of a cancelled flight, or overbooking. We have not heard back and assume that Lilo could persuade the airline personnel that they had to get home for Jeannine to make her trip to Finland. We cross our fingers and hope to hear from their arrival in Vienna tomorrow.

MC Jessie needs to be mentioned. Thanks, Jessie, for leading us through the evening and for looking after everything at the end of the evening, and even chauffeuring people home. You played a very important part in making things go smoothly.
