Winter Outings

We actually had sunshine today and I was out in the kayak, in Deep Bay. It was quiet – and cold! (the wetsuit was good, but next time I need to think of gloves). It felt really good to be on the water. The sky still is a winter sky with pastel colours and the sun disappearing early behind the ridge.

The rain has returned and tomorrow morning will be our third training walk for the SunRun (we are walking). So far, it has rained or snowed on all previous Sundays. Tomorrow, it looks like the record will not be broken and rain will be upon us again.

 

Today, on our fourth Sunday, it was not only raining, the rain was mixed with snow and some of the walkers driving down from higher parts of the island arrived with snow piled on their cars!
