Bowen Island has lots to offer to those who appreciate the outdoors.

Swimming and Kayaking

There are a number of beaches with public access, some have also public facilities. If you want to venture beyond Bowen's shores, check out Bowen Island Sea Kayaking located at the Bowen Island Marina, beside the ferry dock. You can rent kayaks for a few hours or a day or sign up for one of their tours.

Walking

We are in close proximity to Crippen Park which has a network of trails leading to Snug Cove and through the woods towards Killarney Lake. The walk around Killarney Lake is a "must", even if you are only here for one day. Beyond the park bounderies there are numerous unofficial trails worth exploring. A hike up Mount Gardner can be very rewarding, with views along the Sechelt inlet and beyond.

Cycling

Cycling is possible for those who don't mind the steep terrain and winding roads and who are looking for a challenge.
