Getting Here

Bowen Island is a short 20 minute ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay, which is just 30 minutes from downtown Vancouver.

You can bring your car, use your transfer to take the bus, or enjoy the 15 minute walk from the ferry.

Ferries go approximately every hour, with a longer break mid-day. See the BC Ferries website for up to date schedule information »

Here’s a direct link to our address on Google Maps: 1142 Miller Road, or view the map below

Directions by Car

Drive off the ferry and stay in the right lane. At the intersection halfway up the hill, across from the General Store, turn right onto Miller Road.

Check your odometer — we are exactly 1km from the intersection. You’ll pass the Gothic arch style, blue/brown St. Gerard’s Catholic Church on your right, then the United Church (red church and hall and white picket fence) on your left, and now you’ll head down a short hill. Just at the foot of the famous “Seven Hills”, we’re on the left hand side.

Look for our tall, green laurel hedge and the sign on the cedar tree “Seven Hills B&B”.

Public Transit

Bowen Island can be reached by public transit. Take the 250 Horseshoe Bay or 257 Horseshoe Bay Express bus from downtown to Horseshoe Bay. From there, the Queen of Capilano takes you on a short ferry ride to Snug Cove on Bowen Island. With your bus transfer ticket you can ride the Bowen Island Community Transit buses, sight-seeing, getting off at Artisan Square or visiting one of the beaches.

Take the “C11-Eaglecliff” bus to get to Seven Hills B&B at 1142 Miller Road. Our house is closest to the Millers Landing stop. Drivers will pick up and drop off passengers along the route as requested. Look at the Trans-Link Schedule for C11 for times.

Walking Directions

Walk off the ferry and stay to your right, walking past the mural created by BICS school children. Take the first right. The road curves right, but stay straight and walk across the causeway that separates the Lagoon from the ocean.

At the end of the causeway is a short path with trees on all sides. When you reach the road, turn left and follow Melmore Road. It comes to a t-intersection with Lenora where you’ll take a left, walk a few steps, then turn right onto Miller Road, right next to the Catholic Church.

Just a bit further is the United Church, then down a short hill and you’ll see us on the left hand side, at the bottom of the “Seven Hills” - a long set of hills leading to the north end of the island.

Watch for the tall green laurel hedge and the sign on the big cedar tree by the driveway, which is lit by a single light (most neighbourhoods on Bowen do not have street lights – bringing a flashlight is advised). Our house number (1142) with B&B sign is mounted on the cedar tree by the driveway.
